Proposal:
Some of the spatial elements were used both as a scene and as a tool, thus the LED pipes served as a circus tent in the foreground, and then later served in the background like trees in the forest . Also the walls were transforming during the play – from a living room, through a workshop and finally into the exterior of a house.
We designed a scene for a very inspiring and moving piece for kids that is telling a story about a flying gipsy circus and an outer material world. The whole story is divided in between time and space, often having the same scene in two separate places or moments. What was really challenging was to get all the intentions of the design to kids level, because after all, it was all about them.
